Dining Chair

The design begins with the idea of lines cascading down a chair to create the back, arms, and seat. This idea is achieved through planks of oak wood, which are bent to create the contours of the seat.

This presented a challenge in determining exactly how single pieces of wood could be bent to create the shape. I hoped to keep most of the boards bent instead of cut. In the end, the only pieces that needed to be cut were those below the back of the chair.
